6 Spring Fashion Staples Every Girl Needs In Her Wardrobe

Happy Easter everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend with their loved ones on this special day. Nothing quite says “spring” like Easter, so I figured today would be the perfect occasion to publish my spring fashion blog post. Check out my favorite spring fashion trends of 2019! I’ve linked all of these items down below, so you can purchase them for yourself. Best of all, everything listed below is budget-friendly for the girl who likes to look cute without breaking the bank (aka me).

1. Demin Jacket

I was on the hunt for a really good denim jacket for over a year and I finally found this one at Target a few weeks ago from the brand Wild Fable. It’s a denim trucker jacket and it’s seriously the most comfortable thing ever. I love it because it’s loose on the arms, so I don’t feel like the Michelin Man every time I wear it with a sweater or long sleeve shirt. I also love styling this jacket with cute spring sundresses, like the one pictured above from Old Navy. Also, side note: I love these closed toe wedge heels from Target. They’re my favorite shoes and they’re so versatile!

2. Hair Scarf

Hair scarves are one of my favorite ways to accessorize. If you’re looking for a good way to dress up a plain outfit, hair scarves are the way to go. They’re also perfect for days where you just want to toss your hair up into a ponytail, but also don’t want to look like a bum. Every girl needs some hair scarves in her wardrobe this spring. I got the one pictured above from Old Navy and I love it because it has a ponytail holder attached to it, so I don’t need to worry about it falling out.

3. Flowy Sundress

In Florida, it starts to get pretty toasty in the spring. That’s why I’m a big fan of flowy dresses in the warmer months. Since I split my time at work between taking photos and videos on the beach and working in an office, I needed some appropriate attire that also wouldn’t make me sweat to death in the sun. That’s why this flowy dress from Old Navy is perfect for spring and summer (wow, I have a lot of Old Navy finds in here).

4. Denim Shorts

I have a love/hate relationship with denim shorts. I think that they’re generally uncomfortable and just look too short on me. I’m 5’8 and I have very long legs, so typically, shorts look extra short when I wear them. Also, high-waisted shorts are usually too baggy in the waist on me, so it’s way too hard to find a pair of shorts that’s both long enough to meet my personal modesty requirements and fit my waist. However, I just got these boyfriend denim shorts from Old Navy and I have zero complaints. They’re somewhat stretchy, so they’re pretty comfortable and they’re a great length. While they’re not high-waisted, like I prefer, I’d say they’re definitely a winner. Old Navy has 3″ denim boyfriend shorts in a variety of washes and styles, so I would recommend them to anyone!

I couldn’t find this knit top anywhere online because I actually got it from a boutique’s trunk show in Troy, AL. However, the brand is Sadie & Sage if you’re interested!

5. Sun Hat

I mentioned earlier that I spend a lot of time at the beach taking photos and videos for work. While I do wear SPF every single day– I’ll link my SPF here because it’s really really good, I was still getting weird tan lines on my chest. I’m also really obsessive about skincare (if you hadn’t noticed from my skincare blog)and I don’t like subjecting myself to UV light more than I have to. That’s why I started wearing this wide-brimmed hat whenever I’m taking photos at the beach. I might look a little extra, but I personally think it’s really cute and I like that it’s preventing skin damage. I think sun hats are another must-have accessory this spring!

6. White Boyfriend Tee

A white tee is essential for spring. I love this boyfriend tee I got from (you guessed it) Old Navy. It’s super versatile, so I like wearing it with skinny jeans, denim shorts, boyfriend jeans, mom jeans, skirts– pretty much anything. It also looks great under a denim jacket or any color sweater. It’s just the perfect top to throw on when you’re rushing to get out the door in the morning. Plus, I’m really feeling white tops right now in general. I think they’re super fresh and perfect for spring. They also match any color hair scarf, which is another plus.

All in all, these are the spring fashion trends I’m obsessed with right now. I love that I was able to find a majority of these items on a budget and reccommend them to any girl that wants to look cute this spring without breaking the bank! Let me tell you, Target and Old Navy are your friends! I searched far and wide for these items in more expensive places, but Target and Old Navy had just what I was looking for at a fraction of the cost!
